Dr. Sutton will prescribe an anxiolytic medication prior to your dental visit with instructions as to when you should take the pill. Be sure to have a friend or relative drive you to and from your dental visit if you are under the influence of a sedative.
During your dental procedure(s), Dr. Sutton will monitor your vital signs and keep you safe and comfortable. You'll be alert enough to respond to questions, but relaxed to a point that all anxiety and stress will subside. You may not remember much about your visit the following day. Effects of oral sedation should subside a few hours after your appointment, and the next day you can return to your regular daily routine.
