Sonoma Smiles Foundation

Sonoma Smiles Foundation is a charity foundation started in 2006 to give back to the community in which we live. The mission of the foundation is as follows: At Sonoma Smiles, office of Wayne Sutton, D.D.S., we believe in helping the local community that has been so supportive of our office. By offering professional services and providing financial scholarships, it is our hope to bring a positive impact to our community by changing lives one smile at a time.

Mouth Guard Program: This year marked the beginning or our mouth guard program for the Rancho Cotati Varsity Football Team. We have teamed up with Glidewell Laboratories to provide professional football mouth guards to the local high school football team. The Sonoma Smiles Foundation raises money from our professional tooth whitening programs in the office and all proceeds are applied to the costs of this and other charity events sponsored by the Foundation.

“Give Back a Smile” Smile Scholarship Program: It is our mission to select one person a year from our local community to give a new smile makeover to at no cost. Sonoma Smiles Office of Dr. Wayne Sutton has teamed up with Dental Masters Laboratory in Santa Rosa to select a worthy individual to receive the all expenses paid smile makeover. The “mini-makeover” will include all necessary cosmetic and restorative dental care, eye exam, professional clothing, hair and makeup and professional photo shoot. The applicant is required to submit a completed application form that is available on our website or by request. They also must provide three letters of recommendation. Applications will be received starting in January of each year and the final decisions will be made by committee vote by June 1st of the same year. It is in keeping with our mission to give back to those less fortunate than us and there is nothing like a bright new smile to change someone’s life for the better.

WIN Foundation (Women In Need Organization) Dr. Sutton is one of the official Cosmetic Dentists of the Mrs. Globe/ Mrs. USA Pageant which is the largest international pageant for married women in the world. Televised in over 35 countries for the past nine years, Mrs. Globe is a focus of charity, culture and beauty. The pageant sponsors the WIN Foundation a 501-C3 non-profit organization for abused women and children. A very select group of cosmetic dentists participate in the S.M.I.L.E. program; they provide a smile makeover to the pageant contestants and help raise money for the WIN Foundation charity.

Local High School Scholarships: The Sonoma Smiles Foundation helps provide financial scholarships to qualified local graduating senior students who show interest in the dental sciences. For more information or to request an application, please see Forms or call our office.
